Dr. Cengiz is an Associate Professor in the Biruni University Medical School, Turkey. Having received his MD degree from Istanbul University in 2006, Dr. Cengiz undertook his postgraduate training at the Cerrahpasa School of Medicine, Istanbul University and has been an Attending Physician in the Department of Internal Medicine since 2011 and obtained his PhD degree in 2011. After a one-half year worked at Sarkisla Government Hospital (2011 to 2013), Dr. Cengiz returned to Istanbul University and he became a lecturer of Istanbul University in 2013. He was promoted to Associate Professor in the Cerrahpasa School of Medicine, Istanbul University in 2017. His ongoing research interests are hypertension, White-coat hypertension, ambulatory blood pressure measurement, metabolic syndrome, Diabetes mellitus, type II, atherosclerosis and microRNA. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles. Currently, he is working in the General Internal Medicine Division, Department of Internal Medicine, Cerrahpasa School of Medicine, Istanbul University Cerrahpasa.
