Dr. Hakim Rahmoune holds his Degree in Medicine and Surgery in July 2003. In 2004, he graduated in Pediatric Residency till December 2008. He actually serves as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Setif as well as at the University Hospital of Setif, Algeria. He is also an active researcher in the Nutrition, Genetics & Cardiovascular Diseases Laboratory (Faculty of Medicine, University of Setif-1). Dr. Rahmoune's research interests encompass Immunology-Gastroenterology crosstalks:  Celiac Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Microbiota, and Leaky Gut. He works on his PhD thesis about Celiac Disease Immunogenetics. He is a member/founding-member of several scientific societies and organizations; and is a Board Member of the Arab Society for Primary Immune Deficiencies  (ARAPID) and the Algerian Nutrition Society Dr Rahmoune is author of several articles, co-author in 4 books and  a reviewer/member of the editorial boards in many international peer-reviewed journals.
