Professor Piero Pavone was qualified to become an associate professor Pediatrics in 2012. Professor Pavone completed his medical training at the University of Catania, Italy. He was trained during the fellowship in New York (Cornell University Dott Trifiletti and later on New Yersey University Newark). His main research area is child Neurology and movement disorders. Professor Pavone published over 200 papers in renowned journals, and has also contributed to the peer review of more than 40 journals. He has secured over 5 major competitive research grants. He has served the editorial boards of different scientific journals. His research interest are childhood neurology; psychiatric morbidity;cognitive impairment, depression; anxiety; emotional incontinence; insomnia; quality of life; Pandas/pans disorders; pediatric emergency; seizures and headache; autoimmune disorders and Pediatric emergency therapymovements disorders.
