Born in Lagos on March 4 1966 and married to Ogonna Blessing (Nee Okeke) and blessed with a daughter. Acquired tertiary education at the College of Medicine, University of Nigeria where the MB, BS degrees were obtained in 1988. Completed the post-graduate specialist training in the Faculty of Pediatrics, West African College of Physicians in 1999. Has worked as Research Fellow and later assistant Chief Research Fellow/Consultant with the Institute of Child Health, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) Enugu from 1999-2004. Was appointed a Lecturer with the College of Medicine, University of Nigeria in 2005 and later promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2009. Promoted to Reader (Associate Professor) in 2015- a position held till date.
