Dr. Peng got his Master Degree from Harbin Medical University, Harbin, China and Doctor’s Degree from Peking University, Beijing, China. He had worked as a professor and a PhD supervisor at the Department of Ophthalmology, Second Hospital of Harbin Medical University before June. 30 2007. He had been working as a visiting professor and an Associate Research Scientist at the Department of Surgery and Ophthalmology, Yale University during 2007-2014. He is currently the regional director of Aier Eye Hospital Group in Heilongjiang Provinces and the director of Harbin Aier Eye Hospital, Harbin, China and a professor and a PhD supervisor of Aier School of Ophthalmology, Central South University, Changsha, China. He is a standing committee member of China Association of Medical Equipment Ophthalmology Professional Committee and a vice chairman of Heilongjiang Ophthalmology Professional Committee. He serves as a member of editorial board of World Journal of Ophthalmology and Chinese Journal of Practical Ophthalmology. He is a reviewer of several professional journals. He has been granted 4 projects by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and involved in several grants of NIH and NEI. He has also been awarded many prizes, such as the Second Class Award twice by Heilongjiang Province Government. He has published more than 70 papers in which 16 papers has been covered by SCI. His researches have focused on the function and the regulation of the Blood-Retina Barrier and Stem cell differentiation and tissue-engineering human retina and the retina transplantation.
