Education 1993 Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Cagliari (Thesis: “The personality of the psoriatic patient: research using questionnaires and psychometric tests”) receiving marks of 110/110 summa cum laude (First-Class Honours) with Special Mention from the Dean of Faculty. 1993 Qualification to practice the profession of Medical Surgeon receiving top marks (90/90) and admission to the Order of Medical Surgeons of the Province of Cagliari. 1993-1997 Medical Health Associate at the Dermatological Clinic at the University of Cagliari, with Ministerial grant. 1997 Diploma of Specialisation in Dermatology and Venereology obtained at the University of Cagliari (Thesis: “The bullous pemphigoid: clinical and epidemiological investigation in central-south Sardinia”) receiving marks of 50/50 summa cum laude (First-Class Honours) 1997-2006 University Medical Intern at the Dermatological Clinic - University of Cagliari,  2001-2006 Winner of competitive examination for a Research grant (art. 51, subparagraph 6, Law n. 449/97) at the University of Cagliari – Department of Medical Sciences – Dermatological Clinic for research entitled: Adverse cutaneous reactions to pharmaceutical drugs: setting up an experimental pharmacovigilance centre”. This contract was renewed for a second and third two-year course, but ceased when the title of Medical Researcher had been acquired. 2006 (up today) Winner of public competitive examination for the title of Medical Researcher at the University of Cagliari – Department of Medical Sciences – Dermatological Clinic. Position held up from 1 April 2006 to present.  2006 (up today) Consultant  Dermatologist for the National Health  System  at  Dermatologic Clinic, San Giovanni di Dio Hospital, University of Cagliari, Italy. Position held up from July 2006 to present.
