Assistant Professor Jun Xiong is an expert in the field of Acupuncture and Moxibustion and a China trained associate chief physician who offers both general and specialist complementary and alternative medicine care. Professor Xiong has long been committed to the clinical and basic research of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of allergic diseases and gastrointestinal diseases at Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nanchang, London and Acupuncture and Moxibustion Allergic Rhinitis Department, Affiliated Hospital of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Professor Xiong is the inaugural director of the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Allergic Rhinitis, Nanchang and Director of Teaching and Research Office, Professor of Institute of Acupuncture and Massage. Professor Xiong has established the Heat-sensitive moxibustion therapy for allergic, musculoskeletal and gastrointestinal diseases and functionally characterized the roles of a few biological mechanism associated with Heat-sensitive moxibustion therapy.
