Dr. Iatrou is a Professor in the Chemistry Department of School of Natural Sciences, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Having received his Bachelor degree from the Chemistry Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1989, Dr. Iatrou undertook his postgraduate training at the same Department from 1989-1993, receiving his Ph. D. degree. Then he was awarder for a Post-Doc  fellowship at the Forschungszentum Juelich, Germany between 1994-1995, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dieter Richter. Then he was awarded with a Post-Doc fellow at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA, under the supervision of Prof. Jimmy Mays. Then, he became a Research Adjunct at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He became an Assisatant Professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2002, then a tenuor on 2006, Associate Professor on 2009 and full Professor on 2015. His ongoing research interests are synthesis of model functional biomaerials, drug and gene delivery of anticancer agents through polymeric and hybid vehicles. Dr. Chuang is currently the Director of the Industrial Lab of the Chemistry Department, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
