Dr. Chun-Peng Wan is working as Professor of Nutrition and Food Hygiene in the College of Agronomy, Jiangxi Agricultural University (JXAU), Nanchang, China. He received his M.S. degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Ph.D. in phylaxiology from Nanchang University, China. Furthermore, Dr. Chunpeng Wan joined Department of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of Rhode Island as a post doctorate fellow. Dr. Chunpeng Wan’s research interest include natural products drug discovery (bioactive natural products), metabolomics of medicinal plants, nutraceuticals and food supplements, properties and actions of antioxidants, mode of action of anti-inflammatory compounds, investigation on the ability of natural compounds to activate transcription factor NRF2 and hence a plethora of cell defence genes which prevent or inhibit cancer. His research continues to be funded by federal, state, and other agencies. Dr. Chunpeng Wan edited various books, authored over 100 publications including original articles, reviews, editorials and book chapters.
