Dr. Chan received his M.D. education at Chung Shan Medical University, Taichung Taiwan. He completed specialty training at Department of Surgery and Department of General Surgery in Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou medical center, Taoyuan Taiwan to become a hepatobiliary surgeon and organs transplantation surgeon. Thereafter, his special interest in the field of regenerative medicine led him to do a research fellowship in stem cells research at the Department of Immunology at the University Hospital in Iowa, USA. He now is a specialist of liver transplantation at the organ transplantation institute of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou medical center, Taiwan. In addition, Dr. Chan’s clinical and research interests focus on the both hepatobiliary surgery and organs transplantation. Dr. Chan has also published numerous SCI journal papers and book chapters, and serves as a reviewer for many academic journals.
