Sameh Hany Emile, M.D. graduated from Mansoura Medical School in 2004 and was appointed as resident of general surgery from 2006 to 2009 then as assistant lecturer of surgery from 2009 to 2015. In 2015 he completed his PhD/M.D. degree in colorectal surgery and was appointed as lecturer (equivalent to assistant professor in the American system) of general and colorectal surgery . He is an editorial board member of a number of journals as Medicine journal, Colorectal disease, BMC surgery, and Minimally Invasive Surgical Oncology  and reviewer for many Scopus-indexed journals including British Journal of Surgery, Journal of Surgical Research, and International Journal of Surgery. He authored more than 150 peer-reviewed articles published in indexed journals.
