Lei Ding, Professor of Peking University Health Science Center and Capital Medical University of the People's Republic of China, supervisor of doctoral candidates, and deputy director of the Department of Colorectal Oncology, Beijing Shijitan Hospital. Dr. Ding graduated with PhD degree in Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2006. He completed his postdoctoral training at Anatomy and Cell Biology department, Brody school of medicine, ECU, North Carolina, USA. from 2009 to 2011. He is the "discipline backbone" of high-level health technical talents in Beijing health system and the academic leader of Beijing shijitan hospital. He has been engaged in the basic and clinical research of colorectal cancer. In terms of clinical practice, he is good at the application of laparoscopic surgery in the treatment of abdominal digestive tract tumors. He has extensive clinical experience in extended radical resection of recurrent rectal cancer (full pelvic visceral resection) and lateral lymph node dissection, and is actively engaged in NOSES surgery for colorectal cancer. In terms of clinical research, he is engaged in the molecular biological mechanism of tight junction protein (cldn-7) in tumor genesis and development, and jointly constructed the first Conventional cldn-7 gene knockout mouse model with American tutor yan-hua Chen. He has mastered the design, construction process and identification application of knockout mice, and found that Cldn - 7 to maintain the function of intestinal epithelial cells in mice has a very important role, copied successfully simulates human disease (IBD) ulcerative colitis model, the related research results as the first author published in the world famous journal Gastroenterology, 2012; 142:305-315.Prof. Ding has published more than 40 scientific research papers, which have been included in Gastroenterology, Cancer Sci, Exp Cell Res, WJG and other world-renowned journals. He has participated in the translation and compilation of 6 monographs in Chinese and English, including the 19th edition of "kirschner surgery".  He is the Committee Member for 19 academic organizations, such as Beijing Research Society for Precise Pathological Diagnosis of Neoplasm, Specialist Branch of Retroperitoneal Tumor of Beijing Medical Doctor Association. Prof. Ding is a special reviewer of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, Chinese Medical Journal, Chinese Journal of Experimental Surgery, National Medical Journal of China, as well as a special editorial committee of Medical Recapitulate and Chinese Journal of Experimental Surgery. He is also a review expert of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Beijing Municipal Natural Science Foundation, the Natural Science Foundation of Tianjin, the Natural Science Foundation of Hebei Province, and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.
