Jian-Cheng Xu is MD, PhD, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Deputy Director of Department of Laboratory Medicine at First Hospital of Jilin University. He obtained his PhD in the University of Louisville in the USA with joint-training scholarship. He has over 20 years’ experience in clinical microbiology. Jiancheng Xu has published 125 articles, participated in compilation of 13 books and drafted 6 expert consensuses; and hosted 30 projects with funding of 3.25 million in total. He serves as the Vice Chairman of the Youth Committee of the Chinese Society of Laboratory Medicine, and member of Society of Laboratory Medicine of China Medicine Education Association, and Standing Committee Member of Laboratory Diagnosis of Infectious Diseases Society of Committee on Laboratory Medicine of Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine. He is currently the Standing Committee & Secretary of Society of Laboratory Medicine of Jilin Medical Association, and Vice Chairman of the Youth Committee of Jilin medical association. Jiancheng Xu is a reviewer of numerous peer-reviewed medical journals including Biological Trace Element Research, and OMICS PUBLISHING GROUP.
