Dr. Xu-Qiang Nie is a professor of Zunyi Medical University in Guizhou, China. He is actively engaged in teaching and research of postgraduate program. His research fields are pharmacy and quality evaluation of traditional Chinese medicines. In recent years, he has focused on new pathogenesis of metabolic diseases based on inflammation and immune system, and new targets of natural drugs for preventing and treating metabolic diseases. Dr. Nie has published more than 60 peer-reviewed biomedical research papers in prestigious journals such as British Journal of Pharmacology, Pharmacology&Therapeutics, Frontiers in Pharmacology, Acta Pharmacologica Sinica, International Immunopharmacology, and Journal of Ethnopharmacology. He earned his Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and completed post-doctoral training at Third Military Medical University.
