I graduated from Upstate Medical Center in New York (U.S.) in 1983. I completed Internal i training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn New York in 1986. Gastroenterology fellowship was at Temple University (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) completed in 1989. My academic appointments were at Downstate Medical Center, Stony Brook Medical School, Temple University, Columbia University and presently at New York University.. I have been at NYU-Winthrop Hospital since 2004 when I joined and received a six month fellowship in EUS. I have been an Associate Professor since 2006. I have current boards in gastroenterology, general nutrition and nutrition support. My clinical interests span the field of gastroenterology though I am most interested in endoscopy including treatment of hemorrhage, evaluation of the colon in an IBD patient, deep enteroscopy, EMR, ESD, POEM, innovative endoscopy techniques and enteral access for feeding.. .
