Professor Jayantha Arnold is a Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist with 30 years' clinical experience at London North West University Hospitals NHS Trust, based at Ealing Hospital.   He is also lead clinician for the department at Ealing with 7 consultants in gastroenterology.  He is a Director of Clinical Studies at Imperial College London and holds a visiting professorship at University of Hertfordshire, Postgraduate Medicine Department.  He was previously Training Committee chairman for Gastroenterology in North West London.   Professor Arnold has published several articles on iron regulation and liver and gastro-intestinal disorders.  His current research interests are in immune-mediated inflammation in Crohn's disease.
