Dr. Fujiwara is Associate Professor in the Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Nagoya City University, Japan. Having received his MD degree from Nagoya City University in 1996, Dr. Fujiwara undertook his postgraduate training at the Nagoya City University Hospital and has been a Director in Hepatobiliary Department, Nagoya City University Hospital since 2022. He was promoted to Associate Professor in the Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Nagoya City University in 2023. He has published more than 80 peer-reviewed articles. Currently, he is the Director of the Liver Disease Center and Director of the Hepatobiliary Department, Nagoya City University Hospital. His ongoing research interests are viral hepatitis (particularly HBV), liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.
