Lorenzo Ridola get his medical education at the Sapienza University of Rome, Rome (Italy), and he graduated in medicine in 2005.In 2009, he specialized in Gastroenterology, at the Sapienza University of Rome, Rome (Italy).In 2013, he obtained academic doctorate (Ph.D.) in Clinical and Experimental Hepatology at the Sapienza University of Rome, Rome (Italy).From 2010, he serve as gastroenterologist at Santa Maria Goretti Hospital, Latina-Polo Pontino of the Sapienza University of Rome, Rome (Italy).From 2017 to 2020 he was holder of educational assignment in gastroenterology at the Sapienza University of Rome, Rome (Italy).From 2020 he is associate professor in gastroenterology at the Sapienza University of Rome, Rome (Italy), professor in the PhD course "Clinical and Experimental Hepatogastroenterology" at "Sapienza" University of Rome, professor at the postgraduate school in Gastroenterology at "Sapienza" University of Rome.Lorenzo Ridola is a member of: Italian Society of Gastroenterology (S.I.G.E.), Italian Association for the Study of the Liver (A.I.S.F.).Dr Ridola s scientific interests include the complications of liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension and in particular hepatic encephalopathy and primary liver cancers.
