Fatemeh Farshadpour is an assistant professor at Bushehr University of Medical Sciences, where she teaches medical virology, practical virology, molecular cell biology, microorganism genetics, and eukaryotic and prokaryotic molecular cell biology. In addition to her teaching position, she works as a researcher at Persian Gulf Tropical Medicine Research Center. Her work has centered around the viral hepatitis. Her research interests include molecular and epidemiological studies of viral hepatitis, recombinant protein and vaccine studies. She has developed a high-density multiepitope DNA construct as a candidate vaccine against Hepatitis E Virus (HEV) and two in-house ELISA kits for detection of IgG antibodies against HEV. The later one got a patent. Aside from being a lecturer and researcher, Fatemeh Farshadpour is also a writer. She is the editorial board member of Pathogen & Infectious Disease journal, World Journal of Virology, Virology Research Journal, and the reviewer of several journals.
