Masashi Yoneda, born in Tokyo, Japan on April 24, 1957. Graduated from School of Medicine, Hirosaki University, Japan in March 1983, and received Ph.D in March 1987 from the Postgraduate School, Hirosaki University, Japan. Visiting researcher, University of California, Los Angeles, 1989-1992; assistant professor, Second Department of Medicine, Asahikawa Medical College, Japan 1994-1998; and now associate professor, Department of Medicine, International University of Health and Welfare, Japan. A councilor of the Japanese Society of Gastroenterology. Recipient of Young Investigator Award in The 10th World Congress of Gastroenterology 1994. Recipient of Young Investigator Award in the 10th World Congress of Gastroenterology 1994.
