Prof. Zeinab Nabil Ahmed Said is a female, MB BCh (Excellent Honors) graduate in December 1982. Currently is a Professor of Medical Microbiology & Immunology, the former Vice Dean for Education & Students’ Affairs-Faculty of Medicine (for Girls)-Al-Azhar University. She is teaching microbiology & immunology for undergraduates and postgraduate students. She also participates in organizing Teaching, Learning and Assessment workshops in higher education. She also is a supervisor for more than 40 Msc, Ph.D and MD thesis. She is interested in Microbiology, Virology and Molecular Biology. She has about 79 national and international publications, most of them related to viral hepatitis. She has served on the editorial boards of 3 Egyptian as well as international scientific journals, reviewer of about 213 articles in international journals and on the advisory panels of international books as well as Egyptian medical conferences. She has been sharing in organization, participation and preparation of workshops for viral isolation and diagnosis since 1999. Also, she is a co-founder of the Al-Azhar Center for Virus Research and Studies. She awarded a Master in Health Professions Education (Maastricht and Suez Canal Universities)-Distance Learning- 2005/2006 - (Honors). She has been participated in the book project entitled "Viral Replication", ISBN 980-953-307-043-3. The book is edited by German Rosas-Acosta publicized by INTECH- 2013. The shared chapter is entitled “Antiviral replication agents. She was winner of the GSK grant in the 27th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, which has been held in Vienna, Austria from 22 – 25 April 2017. She is a member of the Editorial Board of World Journal of Gastroenterology (WJG) in 2010-2013 & 2014-2017 & 2018-2021 & 2022-2025. A member also in The European Society of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (ESCMID),(2014 till now)and an active member in ESGVH ( Viral hepatitis Subgroup).
