Editorial Board
Thank you for the invitation to join the 2018-2021 World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy editorial board. During the past 20 years have been involved in clinical and translational research in various aspects of gastroenterology particularly in disorders of the pancreatic and biliary systems.  I have successfully carried out several funded research projects with discoveries that not only have helped improve treatment of various disorders such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, pouchitis, acute and chronic pancreatitis and biliary strictures but also have led to improvements in earlier diagnosis of malignancies such as cholangiocarcinoma and pancreatic cancer.  These findings have led to multiple awards including The Auxiliary Award for the Best scientific research and the Governer’s Award for Excellence in Clinical Research from The American College of Gastroenterology, The Research & Outcome & Effectiveness Award from The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, The Innovator Award from the Cleveland Clinic, and the REGAL (Research Excellence in Gastroenterology and Liver) Award from an independent research group.   It will be a pleasure to join the editorial board of the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and contribute to the medical community. Best wishes, Mansour A. Parsi, MD, MPH, FAGA, FASGE
