Ming-Lung Yu is a chair professor at the College of Medicine, Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan. Professor Yu, a board-certified internist and gastroenterologist, currently teaches at the Kaohsiung Medical University and Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital where he holds the leading role in the Hepatitis Research Center. He is also an adjunct professor at the College of Biological Science and Technology, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Hsin-Chu, the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, National Sun Yat-Sen University, Kaohsiung, and National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, Pingtung, all in Taiwan. Professor Yu’s research interests in the epidemiology and natural history of viral hepatitis have led him to publish more than 390 journal and review articles. He also holds various editorial roles including handling editor of PLoS ONE and Clinical and Molecular Hepatology, and associate editor of the World Journal of Gastroenterology, guest editor of the Journal of Infectious Diseases and a member of the editorial board of Hepatology, and Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Science.
