Dr. Andrés Carrión is the director of the transplant hepatology fellowship program at the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. His clinical practice focuses on diagnosis and management of liver diseases and therapeutic endoscopy. Dr. Carrión has over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and renowned textbooks in gastroenterology and hepatology, and has consistently presented his work at international meetings including Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, Digestive Disease Week, European Association for the Study of the Liver, and American College of Gastroenterology. Some of the most notable publications include chapters in textbooks such as Sleisenger and Fordtran’s gastrointestinal and liver disease 10th Ed, and Schiff’s diseases of the liver.
