I graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine and trained in Internal Medicine in the United Kingdom and the United States. This was followed by a Gastroenterology fellowship and an additional fellowship in Hepatology and Liver Transplantation. I worked as a gastroenterologist and transplant hepatology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center for 14 years until I moved to Creighton University Medical Center where I am Chief of Gastroenterology and Professor of Medicine.
