Prof. Calogero Iacono is Associate Professor of Surgery at the Department of Surgery of the University of Verona Medical School. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Padua, in the 1979, he has specialized in General Surgery (1984) and Endocrine Surgery (1992) at the University of Verona. It 'been a student inside, fellow and assistant professor. From November 2005 to present is Chief of the Unit of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery and Director of The Verona Multidisciplinary Hepato-Biliary Oncological Group of the Department of Surgery of the University of Verona. It is author or co-author of more 500 scientific publications, more than 250 of which were published in peer-reviewed journals, three books, several book chapters, and abstracts at national and international congress. It serve as reviewer for several international journals and in some of them it is a member of the Editorial Board. It ' been a speaker and chairman at several national and international meetings. The topics of scientific interest regarding the disease and abdominal surgery, especially in oncology, in the district of hepato-pancreato-biliary diseases and surgery, and retroperitoneum. Prof. C.
