Editorial policies

Baishideng Publishing Group Inc (BPG) is a publishing company which currently publishes 43 printed or online journals (42 in English and one in Chinese). BPG maintains its dedication to a sustainable publication business model that provides top-quality journals reporting clinical and basic research in a broad range of fields by following the highest international standards for ethics in publishing and research. By complying with the Code of Conduct for Publishers and the Code of Conduct for Editors enacted by the Committee on Publication Ethics, as well as the editorial and publication policies of the BPG, we are able to guarantee that each manuscript is processed (from initial submission to final publication/rejection) in a fair, just, objective and transparent manner. We established and maintain the Express Submission and Peer-Review System, based on our own intellectual property rights, which guarantees the transparency of the entire editing and publishing process (including manuscript submission, peer review, manuscript revision, manuscript production, and final release) and guards against the possibility of black-box operations. To guarantee justice and fairness, documents related to the academic rules and norms for academic conduct and manuscript publication will be released online together with the published paper, including the results of peer review and answers to the reviewers’ comments, the Institutional Review Board (IRB) statement, the declaration of Helsinki conformation statement, an informed consent statement, an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) statement, the animal care and use statement, biostatistics statements, a conflict-of-interest statement, and a data sharing statement.
