AIM:A model of experimental gastric dysrhythmia in rabbits was set up to evaluate the effect of different acupoints on regulating the gastric dysrhythmia in rabbits so as to promote the acupuncture treatment for this kind of disease. METHODS:A model of gastric dysrhythmia in rabbits was established by rotation method and using basic electrical rhythm (BER) as objective index. After puncturing at the points of Zusanli (ST36), Neiguan (PC6),Tiaokou (ST38), and Tianquan (PC2) respectively, in the four groups of experimental gastric dysrhythmia rabbits, the difference of regulatory effect on disturbance and frequency of gastric electric slow wave was observed. RESULTS:Before needling at the specific acupoints Zusanli and Neiguan, the percentage of disturbance electric slow wave for group Zusanli or for group Neiguan is 57.0785+/-10.644 or 55.5173+/-6.0500; After such needling, the percentage is 43.7823+/-10.1518 for group Zusanli or 43.5147+/-6.8983 for group Neiguan, while the frequency of electric slow wave for group Zusanli or for group Neiguan is 2.2870+/-0.3800 or 2.4020+/-0.3536 before needling, and after needling, the frequency is 2.7090+/-0.5865 for group Zusanli or 2.9220+/-0.4923 for group Neiguan. As comparing the percentage and frequency for group Zusanli or group Neiguan of before needling with tthat of after needling, the rsult shows that both group Zusanli and group Neiguan have significant difference statistically (P<0.05). But between group Zusanli and group Neiguan, there is no significant difference. Before and after needling nonspecific acupoints of Tiaokou and Tianquan, there is no difference between both groups of Tiaokou and Tianquan. Between group Zusanli and group Tiaokou or group Neiguan and group Tianquan, there are significant difference in regulating gastric dysrhythmia. CONCLUSION:The model is suitable for the observation of gastric dysrhythmia. Specific acupoints of Zushanli and Neiguan have good effects on the treatment of gastric dysrhythmia. |
